The Making

From a million-year-old fossil to dhikr

  1. Selecting the Material
    01

    Selecting the Material

Each material is chosen one by one for the harmony of its grain, colour and texture.

  2. Shaping
    02

    Shaping

The precious antique object is carefully cut according to its size and its swirl and vein pattern; each bead slowly becomes a work of art in the hand.

  3. Sanding & Polishing
    03

    Sanding & Polishing

Carefully worked in the master’s hands, the piece reaches its final liveliness and shine. With this last touch, those beautiful swirls and colours that carry the marks of the years become ready to be enjoyed in your hands.

  4. Stringing & Imame
    04

    Stringing & Imame

The beads are not strung at random; they are patiently strung one after another in an order and harmony in which each completes the other.

The Master

A craft, a story of patience

For me, making tesbih is not just a trade; it is a craft that asks for patience, attention and respect. Every material has a character of its own, every bead a voice of its own.

When I choose raw material I look at its grain, its colour and its texture. I do every stage — shaping, sanding and polishing — by hand and without haste. A tesbih is carried in the hand for years; even the smallest detail is felt.

My aim is to create, together with you, the tesbih that makes you say “this is mine” the moment you hold it.

“From past to present, the dhikr beads of art and patience…”— Abdullah Kaveloğlu
